Art I would ADD to my Personal Museum

1A, 1972 by Timothy Washington

This artpiece was very striking to me as I could first see drawings and was greatly impressed by the skill and work of the hands and faces and then took a closer look at the center point and it looked like a hole into a card. After reading the plaque I really understood what the message was and with that in mind, I was able to not necessarily connect, but place my own knowledge of what happened to African Americans during this time period. The powerful imagery and message is why it is in my museum.
