Center Frame Portrait

1/100 f5 ISO 200

For this week’s prompt, we had to take a center frame portrait. I started by making sure my subject was in the center of the frame. Then I had him look to the side so half of his face would be illuminated by light from a window. However, the part of his face that is facing the camera is dark, telling a story of solitude and making the photo more solemn.

I edited this photo in Photoshop by adjusting the value of the light in certain areas. I also added a curves adjustment.
