This reflection unit is all about the reflecting our surrounding and our-self. In this unit, I have time to learn and reflect about myself. I did not have a lot time to think about myself before, so this is a good opportunity.

The piece take turns to light up all of the different words with neon lights.This art piece I feel like it is related to my core value in terms of respect for other people. The light individual lights up reminds me of how I respect other people’s personal values. When the whole piece light up remind of how I also respect the other person as a whole not only their individual values.

 

 

Beyond spaceship Earth

When I first saw this picture I thought of one of the values that I am working toward – future orientation.  The futuristic building and the building in this spaceship tell me that the people who build this or design is a future oriented person. Although I can not see the whole spaceship from this piece alone, I can tell that everything is organized. 

This art piece does reflect my core value because this reflects that I can still improve myself and what lay in the future is a blank art piece that I can improve on.  I do feel like there more underlying meaning in the art piece itself that I am not seeing. It may look simple but it is complex in many ways.

I do not relate to this art piece because this do not represent my core value. Even though I am a disorganized person, this does not mean that I am not adaptable to change. The material is made of metal and this means that the piece can not be changed easily.

This piece does not speak to me , because I feel like the messy color doesn’t match my core values like respect what I see is two colors that don’t respect each other. The color and blue don’t match well in this piece for me. 

 

I do not use my own work as a standard, but the way I determine whether an artwork is placed into my personal museum is based on first impression and how the art piece can be related with my core values. There are many art pieces that did not get chosen because it does not relate to my core value and also do not reflect my personality.

Perspective Piece

This is a perspective project assigned in the digital media class. The perspective project is about presenting an opinion or idea in a video  we can also put some of the editing skills we learned into action. I pick multiple photo or drawing that fit with my topic. The topic I pick is “be positive”. Since the audio is only 1 min long, I choose a music that fit the second half of the video.
