Hello! I’m Emma Acedillo / Emma Ace.

In 2021-2022 I was a senior at Freestyle Academy. I loved editing and it’s the reason why I was at Freestyle Academy! I enjoyed making new friends, learning more about myself and making connections.

Something that I expected from myself this year at school is to become more aware about the film industry. I wanted to know more about other roles that take part in film aside from editing.

Plans for after high school: 4-year University at San Jose State University then N/A
Major: I am going to be studying Sociology in college.
Scholarships: I was offered a scholarship from Peninsula. Up to 12k for four years!
Reflection about Freestyle: Freestyle has helped me express who I am as a person fully and show off my creativity too. I am so thankful for everyone that I met at Freestyle. I don’t know where I would be right now if I didn’t take Freestyle senior year. I find it very worth my time and the experience is something that I could always ask for. I was able to meet so many people and make connections with others.
Advice to 1st Year Seniors: I would tell them to just be themselves and always put yourself out there and make connections with people.
