I tried my hand at film scoring, something new to me that I had never attempted before. I watched videos and read articles about what film scoring is and the process behind it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I researched famous film scorers and composers and listened to movie soundtracks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I used a midi keyboard and recorded some piano that I thought fit the scene I chose to score. I tried to fit the mood of the scene. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Reflection<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Throughout this project, I learned a lot more about the music of films and how it can affect audiences. I learned that there is more to film than just the camerawork and the editing. There are several parts to editing, including the music. I learned how to use technology better and I grew as a musician as well. I was able to put down the skills and present on this topic as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Experimental Music<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Experimental music is also somewhat related to film scoring. Through this project, I utilized pro tools to create a piece of music with multiple instruments. Less people are involved in the process, and it&#8217;s easier to test out different sounds and instruments.
