They are also able to create there own character and making there own. Many people has different strength and different skills that can be use to help with making exciting ideas and learning how to express in there own original way. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-background wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"background-color:#c2d4d9\">What I valued from the Visual Narrative Project in all my classes is that I am able to learn new things and improving storytelling. Being able to write my own story and also able to make a lot out of it. We also able to learn how to make our own music and being able to edit it. Something that I&#8217;ve improved on is being able to learn how to use new tools and also being a better storyteller since I&#8217;ve never written my own character before. Then talked about how she decide to be greedy and take others work as her own. But later regretted that decision and there is a change in personality at the end.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-background wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"background-color:#c2d4d9\">When creating sound for our flash fiction we used Pro Tools to record my story and also be able delete parts that I messed up while recording my story. After I&#8217;ve done all of that I was able to download free sound effect such as drawing noise, notification, and whispering. Then Kaya realized what her greedness from before had affected her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This happened a few days ago when Kaya was starting a new project with she had to work with a group of four other people: Joe, Lia, and Bobby. This was Kaya\u2019s 3 years of college at the University of San Francisco. She has recently turned 20 years old during the summer and has been working at this low-wage job near school. She has always been interested in focusing on being better than her older sister, who is now having a stable life and has a high-paying job, and her parents have always favored her older sister. They have always given her their love and also given her all the things that she has asked for. While Kaya had to buy her own things and didn\u2019t get any attention from her parents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kaya has always been nice to others and gets along with everyone, but inside, she always wants to be better than her sister, and she doesn\u2019t care about anyone else and how it impacts them. She wants to be recognized and have a lot of money \u2014 anything that would make her family finally see her as the \u201cbetter\u201d daughter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When the group finally meets, they will have to create something that shows the history over time in modern art. Kaya\u2019s group would meet 4-5 times a week over the past 2 weeks and spend 3 hours every time they met to create this art piece. During this time, Kaya would start taking the lead of the group and ignore other people\u2019s ideas, believing that her idea was the best, and that they should use her idea and that she makes all the decisions. Kaya secretly focused on making herself stand out. On Saturday, after the meeting was over, she saw Lia sketch a watch on the poster, and she didn\u2019t like it, so she decided to erase it because it wasn\u2019t good enough for her taste. So she added her own touches.&nbsp; This happened many times after their fourth meeting. She thought that when she turn it in, she will be able to get most of the credit and the top grade \u2014 even if it means ignoring everyone else\u2019s opinions and making it her own. To her, it wasn\u2019t just an art assignment; it was a chance to show she was smarter and more talented than her sister and to be noticed.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After two weeks, the professor announced everyone&#8217;s grade for the group assignment, and she got the highest score in the class. Her teacher praised her for how amazing she did, avoiding mention of her groupmates; she also didn\u2019t even mention her groupmates or how they contributed a lot to the presentation. All she cared about was her pride.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But this didn\u2019t last long. After a week, the professor called the group in for a meeting. Bobby had emailed him with screenshots of messages and photos showing that Kaya had changed others\u2019 parts and had full control of the whole project. Kaya tried to defend herself, but there was too much evidence against her. Her professor was disappointed in her and gave the other three students full credit, and failed Kaya for plagiarism.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After recalling this event, she realized now she didn\u2019t have a job and that she had made a grave mistake. The next day, when she came back to school, word had spread quickly around the school of what she had done. Her classmates stopped talking to her, and her reputation dropped overnight. This made Kaya feel something that she had never felt for her; this was her first time. Kaya felt out of place and realized that trying to outshine everyone had only left her in the dark.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It\u2019s been a couple of months since this happened. Kaya has been at home for the past month. During this time, she found herself a therapist, and she was able to talk with them about her problems. They spend time talking about her problem, and Kaya realizes that trying to outshine others can backfire, and now that she has experienced this, she wants to change. When she went back to school after missing one month of school she went to apologize to her teachers and teammates for what she had done and that she wasn\u2019t herself and explain her situation. Then when the next project came she wanted everyone to be included and she didn\u2019t want to take the lead and want other people\u2019s opinion. She and her teammate worked together and she didn\u2019t erase anyone\u2019s work and only gave improvement on what others can fix on. When her group finally got there she was nervous but couldn\u2019t believe she got the highest grade and that she thanked her teammate and her teacher.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When Kaya\u2019s family heard about this situation, they realized that they had been neglecting Kaya\u2019s feelings for so long that they didn\u2019t realize and when she got home her parents and her sister all sat at a table together. Her parents apologized to her about how they haven\u2019t been caring for her for so long and that they now want to treat her and her sister equally. So over the next few weeks Kaya tries to hang out with her older sister and learn more about her other sister, since they don\u2019t talk so much, since Kaya always ignores her. Now it\u2019s been a few years since this situation. While the SFX\u2019s I was able to use sound effects where there was a dramatic moment. The most proud part of my story was being able to record my own story that I wrote and being able to use Pro Tools to add sound effects. Another thing that I am proud of in this assignment is that I went to another website to find a non copyrighted sound effects. In this we have created many different project using this tool, some project such as Exquisite Corpse, Flash Fiction Album, and our Illustrator Project. I use three different colors on the background, and as I lower the opacity, you can see the different colors. I used the blend tool to blend all the colors together, especially the different shades of purple. Such as Earth, Saturn, and the Sun. I also created stars that were different sizes, some small, some big. This was created on Adobe Illustrator. It was to represent greed. In my cover, I show this city, which was the city Kaya lived in, and I wanted to have a sunset background. I chose to do a tote bag, and my design was flowers that were lights. Since I&#8217;ve visited a place that is similar. Another thing that I&#8217;ve done was to add a pose of me on the design so it can show more creativity and that it would not be so plain. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote has-background is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\" style=\"background-color:#e1e9ed\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Using Illustrator for image creation as opposed to editing photos in Photoshop was that Illustrator allowed me to create my own image using the pen tool. This allows me to recreate anything and not just editing the photo filter and making images brighter or lighter. I appreciate that illustrator allows me to create stamps and shapes, so that I don\u2019t need to continue to create the same shape over and over again and I just make the shape then save so I can use it later. Illustrator is different from analog drawing because Illustrator you can just backspace and copy paste things which takes a shorter amount of time, while analog drawing you have to use a eraser and pen to draw and also have to draw the same thing over and over again which takes longer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I used a tote bag for my produce. The image that I created is a person who is posing in a land of flower that is created by lights. These lights have different colors such as pink, green, blue, and others. The background is a sunset that has different colors and that was created with the gradient tool. I first chose to do a hoodie but then change to a tote bag because I can use it every time I go out with my friend and also be able to carry my own creation so that others can be able to see. Another reason is that if I did a hoodie I would need something in that front and back and I only had one creation so a change to a tote.I also created some clouds so it looks real. In my production, the person is me posing to the camera. I am making a heart using my hand and this was during the sunset. This production is important to me because it\u2019s a memory for me and remember places that I\u2019ve went to.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-background wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"background-color:#c2d4d9\">Being creative with Illustrator vs Photoshop or any other digital drawing application is very different since Photoshop, you don&#8217;t have as many tools as Illustrator. Since Photoshop is mostly used for editing photos, like changing photo filters and how bright the image. While using Illustrator, you have more creative freedom, like being able to create patterns and other fonts and drawing anything that you want. The Experimental Music Project is where you are able to create your own music using the tools on Pro Tools, such as the Mini Grand and also Xpand2. We had to use this tiny piano on the desk, where if you press a note, you are able to make a sound depending on what you choose to play. We had someone on the drums, bass, piano, guitar, and singing. We had fun recording it and being able to create a tiny little band in a short time. While editing, it took a bit longer than other people since we had more instruments to edit and the sound of how loud each instrument should be. For our cover, we wanted to do something different, so we took many photos of flowers and used Photoshop to add ourselves in the middle of the flowers and lower the opacity. like being able to listen to each other on the headsets and adjusting each other\u2019s volume. It was also fun to use the instruments and other tools inside of the studio; we messed around with percussion instruments like the tambourine which was originally in the song. Another thing that we were able to learn about was the different amps for the different instruments. This song is named Tango, which is also a type of dance. For this project, I used the mini grand as the piano, which was easy for me to play since I&#8217;ve played it so many times. Then I used the Xpand2, where I used these harmony voices, guitar, and a harp. Then I copied and pasted everything from the Mini Grand to the Xpand2, so it was the same for every instrument. After that, I cut out places that didn&#8217;t sound correct and sounded like a different instrument was playing at the same time.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote has-background is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\" style=\"background-color:#e1e9ed\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">My inspiration for my music was that I was able to use the song that my piano teacher wrote, and be able to add some of my own touch to it. This song is played by another student, and he wants me to perform this and spread his work to others. The most proud thing from the Experimental Music Production was that I was able to learn about ProTools and be able to play other instruments without knowing how to play them. Another thing that I am proud of is being able to use different tools so I can share different types of music. We first had to find animals that were related and had the same personality as our character. Since my was greed and loneliness, the animals that I chose were a shark, crocodile, cat, bee, and owl. A challenge to produce something different than a normal animal, it was a combination of many different body parts of an animal into one. We were also tasked to create a background with a point of view where you can have one to two dots where you had to learn perspective. So when her next project came out, she had to work with a group, and she did it by herself, not letting any of her teammates do anything, and erasing others&#8217; work. She will later get the full point, but a few days later, she was exposed, and everyone at her school started hating her. She will later realize her mistake and apologize to her teammates. So her parents found out, they all sat down and talked. Now she is having a good time and has found a nice job.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I chose a shark head because my character is really \u201cgreedy\u201d to get her parents&#8217; attention, and sharks are greedy to get food. The next animal that I used was a cat&#8217;s ear because my character wanted attention, and how cat loves attention. Next is an owl eye because it shows loneliness and how my character later on ends up lonely after what she has done. Then it is the bee body, I chose this because it\u2019s smart, and my character is really smart. Lastly, crocodile tail, because my character is hardworking to get her parents\u2019 attention. Then I use a purple color palette for my animal. My background is that I use 1-point linear perspective, and it shows the outside of a city street that later goes into a tunnel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One difficulty that I encountered was making every animal fit together so they are able to connect and look like a real animal. Something that I am pleased with is the detail on the tail and how it looks like a crocodile tail, and how the other animals look like their original. I am pleased with my work because it looks good, and it has all the aspects of my idea. I would not change anything because I like it how it is, and this was my first animal combo, and it is the character that I wrote about in my flash fiction.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-background wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"background-color:#c2d4d9\">Through this project, I was able to learn a lot more about Illustrator and also be able to use my creative freedom.
