The first artwork I am choosing not to include is the Highrise photopainting by Kunié Sugiura. This artwork is part of a series of “photopaintings” that combine the mediums of photography and painting. I think this is an interesting concept, and I appreciate how the artist explored between different forms of art to create something new. However, I find this artwork a bit visually uninteresting, and I feel like it doesnt fully explore the potentials of combining two mediums.
