Introduction<\/span><\/strong><\/h1>\n

Greetings! My name is Hasmik Galstyan, and I am an Animation student attending Freestyle Academy. Over the past two years, I was able to pursue and strengthen my passion for animation, storytelling, photography, and video editing. Outside of school and my media work, I enjoy playing video games, making YouTube Videos, and spending time with my beloved pooch.<\/span><\/p>\n

For my Senior Showcase, I\u2019m proud to present my Zenith Project and Animation Reel.<\/span><\/p>\n

For my Zenith, I made a short animation telling the story of a hatchling snake coming in contact with a flower for the first time. I was originally planning to work with another student, but in the end, I ended up going solo. Throughout the two months I worked on the project, I animated and edited to bring the final piece to life. I felt like I was really able to improve on my animation skills, and I am incredibly proud of this piece I made.<\/span><\/p>\n

In my Animation Reel, I included some of my best work from my time at Freestyle, including pieces of my Zenith project. The reel contains much of my animated work at Freestyle, both 2D and 3D, since I first arrived last year. Although looking back at some of my work makes me feel a little embarrassed, I\u2019m also glad to see how far I\u2019ve come and how much I\u2019ve challenged myself over these past two years.<\/span><\/p>\n

In terms of what feedback I\u2019m hoping to receive feedback on the animation aspect. Do the movements look natural? Were you able to clearly understand the emotions of the character and their actions? If I was to improve on anything in my animation, what should it be?<\/span><\/p>\n

Next year, I plan to attend Santa Clara University studying computer science and engineering. Although I won\u2019t be focusing on my media work, I will most definitely still continue to improve those skills in my free time. In the future, I hope to become a video game developer and maybe even start my own company. Video games require knowledge of coding, art, and design, so even as I go into my future, everything I was able to gain from Freestyle will stay with me for the rest of my life.<\/span><\/p>\n
