Rhetorical Analysis<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
We started this unit by reading Kurt Vonnegut’s “Slaughterhouse-Five” so we could look into each chapter to analyze its “comedic” edge and its themes of war by writing in sticky notes. During the read, we were assigned to do a Rhetorical Analysis on a certain topic we can choose, by looking at various cartoons or memes online. I decided to go for social media addiction, because I can sometimes struggle from getting addicted to the internet, just like other people who have the same problem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You can read my Rhetorical Analysis down below:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Once our rhetorical analysis was finished, we moved on to making the actual Humor project by using the various “comedy” techniques we have learned in the form of a message. I’ve decided not to pair with anyone for the project, so it would be easier to follow along with the assignment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n My humor idea was to make fun of AI, particularly Google’s Gemini by making a parody of an informercial on using an AI called “Guminator” to get gum off of shoes. I’ve chosen that kind of humor because I think poking fun at certain stuff is appealing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The process took just about two days to get done and it was quite simple – I’ve done a slideshow for my parody and I made a script on Google Docs to go along with it. It might looks a little half-finished but I did what I can when I went up on stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n After rushing through the script, I decided to do a slideshow so my project can be like a pitch presentation at a company. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Here’s the final production of the humor project!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\nHumor Production<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
