For the humor project, students would study different forms. of humor and put together their own piece of humor. Me and Henry put together a video of characters from our World Building Projects ranking Pixar movies.
During the making of this project, we had to make PNG sprites of our characters as well as make assets to make it look like they were on a livestream. We also had to get a screen recording of someone navigating the tier list. We then used a text2speech generator to get the voices. We chose to use text2speech since the voices always sound super robotic and funny making it more nonsensical. We also made fun of the characters’ opinions since typically people don’t respect each others opinions which is why we exaggerated it in this video
Our inspirations for this project were the AI Presidents videos where US presidents are on call playing games or ranking things as well as the YouTuber, ScottTheWoz, who has extremely absurd videos based around gaming. Both types of humor use lots of bantering, which is present in our humor project.
