I once again happened upon a buck, but this time he was balancing on his hind legs to reach some leaves. When I first saw it, it was dark and I was tired, so I couldn&#8217;t immediately tell it was a deer; that&#8217;s when I realized that it would be perfect for this prompt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I put my flash on to capture the subject, which shows in the increased brightness of the foreground elements. These brighter parts also serve as a natural frame of sorts for the subject, and lead the viewer&#8217;s eyes to him. The subject itself is slightly blurry and blends into the background a bit, which adds to the disorienting effect and amplifies the strength of the &#8220;lie.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I&#8217;d like to thank the buck again, for his incredible feat of athleticism.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Another chance encounter from my hiking exploits, this deer&#8217;s remarkable stance was too haunting and fascinating not to capture.
