The weirdest picture of me I could find.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

I was currently enrolled at Freestyle. Freestyle for me has been intriguing because I have been learning many new skills quickly. These skills are something I value from Freestyle, knowing that they are used in a professional setting. It has helped me learn tools that I will probably end up using later, but hasn’t helped me get much sleep. Sleep is far from my most important value; I value helpful systems and the humanities. I tend to impulsively combine art and science when making anything, from poetry to engineering. I also tend to enjoy<\/span>\u00a0philosophy<\/span>\u00a0a little too much. Well, I am Jamil. I think stuff. I dream stuff. I don’t have much to say, except that I have a lot to do.<\/p>\n

I am now attending UIUC for college.<\/p>\n

Reflection about Freestyle: I think that freestyle has motivated me to do art and push me to do things that I usually wouldn’t make time for. Freestyle has allowed me to find a way to express myself even if it was at the expense of my grade.
Advice to 1st Year Seniors: I would tell them not to spend all their effort on every assignment, but to just get it done. This will take lots of stress off them. I think that effort is best spend on projects that really resonate with them.
Freestyle in 5 years: I think the Freestyle should evolve into an opportunity to connect more with media companies such as push for summer internships and college arts programs. I think that it would benefit the students if they were able to have much easier access to professionals.<\/p>\n\n\n
