My name is Jane Reall and I am currently a senior at Mountain View High School and Freestyle Academy. Some things I love are my dog, jazz music, the smell of malls at Christmastime, and new ballet tutus.
Some of my core values include independence, creativity, personal development, and fun. I don’t think there’s any point in us being here if we can’t have fun while pursuing our goals.
Outside of school, I spend most of my time at my dance studio. I have trained in classical ballet for almost 14 years, but have found my favorite style is contemporary. Dance is where I turn for my outlet of expression. I never have trouble expressing my feelings when I’m dancing. When I’m not at school or the studio, I’m home spending time with my family.
During this school year, I expect to push myself to become more productive and balanced. I want to grow as a creative individual as well as improve my time management skills. As a big procrastinator, I want to find more balance in my life between dance, fun, and schoolwork. I’m thrilled to be a part of Freestyle and am excited to see my creativity expand to other outlets and opportunities.
Art Reflection
On our field trip to the SF MOMA, we were asked to find a piece of art that inspired us and write a reflection on it. We had to take a photo of the piece and eventually create a video with Adobe After Effects. This video had to include the photo of the art and a recording of our reflection.
