The profile unit was hard one for me, as the documentary unit was last year. By its very nature, the project had me struggling with a strong aversion to taking up people’s time and asking them for what I needed (namely, interviews and photos). The requirements for english were by far the hardest, as essay writing is something I am quick to become frustrated with. However, I’m more or less satisfied with the final product. As for design, I enjoyed taking photos and creating the magazine, even if I left myself too little time to do either. Lastly, web was fun for me in that I was able to play around with javascript and minimalist themes, and I’m quite happy with the final layout and design I’ve created. However, I was admittedly unprepared for the complicatedness of learning After Effects. All in all, this project has been very educational for me. I’ve learned some new skills, as well as what I want and don’t want to be doing in the future.
