A lyrical essay is a cross between prose and poetry in that it tells a fairly linear story, but it is written with poetic techniques and line breaks. To write our own lyrical essays, we had to interview someone. I chose a close friend, who I won&#8217;t name, who has had serious issues with mental health in the past.
