Welcome to my Narrative Website! For the Narrative unit, our particular focus was telling a story. My website is inspired by my short story written in English, “Coffee like Clockwork,” which you can find here. This website also showcases my photo narrative, animatic, animation, and illustration that I have completed during the Narrative unit. My website is based off my short story, Coffee like Clockwork, that takes place in a coffee shop. I've always loved the decorative chalkboards of coffee shops and thought it would make an interesting website template. The process of successfully telling a great story is one that seems easily done. For the past few months, I have learned otherwise. Stories can be simply reduced to a beginning, middle, and end. Great stories, on the other hand, cannot. Great stories have substance; intriguing characters and plots in which an audience can identify. Stories can also be told through multiple mediums; words are not always necessary. I have learned that images can convey a story just as well as a novel can, if not better. Images also can broaden a stories meaning. Each and every member of the audience can use the images presented to interpret the story uniquely. This process is so beautiful, and in my opinion, true art.
