This portfolio will show the Freestyle assignments that I have done that I am most proud of and why I am so proud of them. I hope you enjoy these projects!

Dialogue Scene (Inciting Incident)

The assignment given to us by Mr. Taylor was to use a script that he wrote and interpret it in our own way. The goal was to practice pre production, production, post production and acting. My group and I filmed for 2 days straight and edited the next day. We finished this all in three days. Mr. Taylor said that ours was easily the best of this year and that he might use it as an example for the future classes. That is one of the best feelings to me because every time I watch one of Mr. Taylor’s ex student examples I feel nervous for when I have to complete that assignment. Feels good to be the one making nerves for future film students.

Mandala

The first Senior Digital Media project was the Mandala. Coming into Senior year I was motivated to work hard and the Mandala was a super fun way to start the year.

This video displays me clicking the eye buttons in Adobe Illustrator that make the layers visible or not. I didn’t exactly draw it in order, so when I was clicking the eyeballs in order, it didn’t start from the outside or the center, it started in the middle. I think the mandalas are so cool because basically no matter how much you zoom into it, there is still more details. With Illustrator it is possible to zoom in a LOT and that makes it possible to make intricate designs in the middle of the circle that aren’t sloppy.
