Hello! My name is Justin Sweet, and I’m currently a senior at Freestyle Academy. Over the past two years, I’ve had the opportunity to take Digital Media, Design, and English classes. I’m very thankful for this unique opportunity because I’ve truly enjoyed my time here at Freestyle. I’ve been able to greatly expand my knowledge in the creative space, learning professional programs like Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Blender, and more. Next year, I’ll be attending Cal Poly SLO to study industrial engineering.

Showcase Video
Here is a video I created to showcase some of the best projects I’ve done during my time at Freestyle. I also explain some of my artistic choices for each featured project. I really enjoyed creating this video, because I’m proud of my hard work and am happy to be sharing it with others. I always love trying new things, so I attempted a couple of new things in After Effects specifically for the production of this video.

This is a shorter video showcasing the projects in the video above, but also many others I’ve created. This was also a fun video to put together, as it was a trip down memory lane. It was also really cool to reflect on how much I’ve grown as an artist over my time at Freestyle.
Reflection
Looking back on the past two years, I can’t help but smile. Thinking about the person I was back then compared to who I am now really helps me realize how influential Freestyle has been. Not only have I grown immensely in my artistic abilities, but I’ve also grown socially and mentally. These newfound skills will undoubtedly help me in the future. While I’m definitely sad to be leaving Freestyle and all of the amazing people here, I’m really looking forward to the next chapter of my life.
