Art I would ADD to my Personal Museum

Why Then Opened, I by Sam Francis

I would also add Sam Francis's “Why Then Opened, I” to my personal museum. Similarly, the vibrant and saturated contrasting colors really caught my eye. The blob-like shapes reminded me of cells under a microscope. For some reason, the way I described this painting was if you took a sample of the skin cells of the girl from the book “A Bad Case of Stripes” and put it under a microscope. The painting had messy, yet organized and controlled use of paint dripping from bold and solid shapes, adding a lot of interesting texture to the simple shapes.
