Art I would ADD to my Personal Museum

Nyack by Richard Mayhew

The last piece of art I would add to my personal museum is Richard Mayhew’s “Nyack”. Unlike the other two, this painting consists of many muted colors. The artist’s use of “sfumato”, or a painting technique used to create a hazy evanescence creates a really dreamy and mysterious environment. The orange path in the middle resembles flowers, and the overall vibe of the painting just felt really whimsical to me. When it comes to art, my personal taste definitely prioritizes the use of colors and how they are organized on the canvas. Colors are always the first thing that catches my eye when I look at anything, as well as the composition of those colors, and their textures.
