Introduction

This is Jeff.

Jeff is one of the few remaining traditional store owners of America. He runs his late father's store, T&B Sports, which has been around since 1946. All the while, he and his father have served the community in countless ways, including being involved in various committees such as the Marin Athletic Association, Philanthropy and little league coaching. But if you ask him what his world revolves around, despite all he has done for the business, he will tell you about his four children and puppy, Skittles.

The profile project, which consisted of interviewing, taking loads of pictures, writing a paper, putting that paper in a magazine with the pictures, using the pictures to make a commercial and putting it all on this website. Definitely the most difficult of all my projects in Freestyle.

Magazine

The magazine portion of this project consisted of writing a five page article in regards to Jeff Brusati in English class. I used my interviews, as well as research, to formulate an informative documentary-style piece on his life. It was challenging at times, for instance, when I didn't have a way to tie everything togeter. I had a lot of really good substances, i.e. visual metaphors, stories, but it took a while for me to fit them all together. I think that in the end, though, I was successful.

In design, I went back to using InDesign, as I did last year for the location based documentary, and came through with flying colors. I dragged images with absolute precision, sized and spaced text like a genius and did an overall magnificent job making the magazine.

Presentation

This presentation is a record of what I presented for the class. It walks through Jeff Brusati quickly as an individual, and then goes on to show how I developed as a person. It briefs over what I learned in English, Design and WebAudio, as well as what challenges I faced and what I would change if I had it to do over. This, in a sense, is the most absolute portrayal of my finished project.
