Welcome to my narrative website! For the second quarter in WebAudio class, we built narrative websites to match our narrative unit. Essentially, the narrative unit tests our ability to tell a story in different ways, all of which are challenging but interesting. It was quite fun to be able to tell a story in so many different ways.

In WebAudio, we made an animation using Flash. But before we could do that, we had to make animatics, which are basically rough drafts of the animation. Our animatics consisted of drawing out the frames by hand, scanning them into the computer, and animating those. Our actual animations consisted of drawing digitally, and then animating the individual components of our art. Both were fun to make, and though Flash really likes crashing, I was eventually able to finish my animation.

In Design, we were asked to tell a story using only two photos, called a diptych. It was an interesting challenge, because telling a story through only two photos is not something one would initially think is feasible, but it didn't turn out to be too challenging. You can see my photonarrative by clicking on the button to the left! We also created illustrations in Design that were required to incorporate text in a creative way. The text was kind of an afterthought in mine, but other than that I feel that my illustration turned out well.

Lastly, in English class we were assigned to write short stories. Mine was inspired by Skyrim, but my teacher didn't think this was fair and marked me down for lack of originality. I still think it's a good story though, and I'm proud of it.

Hope you enjoy my website!
