Funny Images<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Funny Image Composition project was an introductory assignment where we learned how to meld images together in photoshop which creates a humorous juxtaposition of different moods and pictures. By starting the unit with creating these funny images from pictures we have, we can get some good practice of using photoshop to meld photos as well as getting a preview to the humor unit that comes later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As you can see from the images above, this was a really interesting assignment that challenged our skills in both photoshop and in our humor. I started off slow by editing lion dancing heads onto two of my friends. I think it turned out okay, but it set me up more for the image that I composed after that. This is where I took the faces of two characters from Harry Potter and put them on the faces of the leads in Wicked. This was successful in the composition because the cuts were very clean, and it was also more humorous because of the cultural relevance of the image. And now that I had this experience in my toolkit, I was ready to start using that for the big project of this unit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Motion Graphics<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The AE motion graphics video allowed us to really get into the mechanics of After Effects by creating various videos that test out different parts of the software. First we tested out text and how to move it around, then we created a line that moves around, then we created a sound wave that moves around. So when I had my main AE video, I tried implementing each part. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
