For SLAM, I took photos for an article regarding the Ethicality of AI Art, a very current topic. It discusses how artists are being replaced by AI art. I took this photo to represent the message in the article. I blocked off light in a room and used a projector to show 1s and 0s on the model and the backdrop. I coded a small LED to glow green. I had the model hold the light against her eye as I pulled the camera to the side with a low shutterspeed. I took the image and used photoshop to edit it into a tear rolling down the model’s face.
