Future

This past Summer I was in Baltimore, Maryland for a lacrosse tournament. One morning, my Dad and I woke up at 5am to watch the sunrise and explore town. I stumbled across a mural on one of the buildings. It read, “HOW GREAT THOU ART.” I thought about the phrase for the rest of our three hour walk.
I learned the phrase originated from an old Swedish preacher, Carl Boberg. After witnessing a midday thunderstorm quickly followed by the Sun, he was inspired to write a poem about God’s beautiful creations.
I love the phrase and the poem Boberg wrote, and I also like to extend its meaning towards art in general. Every artist has their own beautiful creations, and the sheer concept of the boundless potential of imagination is truly wonderful and inspiring to all aspects of life.
