A few trees were cut down, large patches of grass were dug out, and the majority of the greenery was replaced with plastic tarps and cut granite slabs. But through the years, through the changes, this orange tree has endured as my backyard’s small piece of nature.

Low Angles

Composition
By logann 24mm 1/50 f2.8 ISO5000 This was a recently made Lego set and a cardboard art project I had made years ago. I shot from a low angle to make the latter object more imposing, and the former, empowered. In reality, the helmet is much bigger than the tree. Yet from this perspective, with the tree in the foreground, in focus, the leaves and branches reach higher than the helmet. It reaches even past the eye, my present and future growing further than the past.
