The concept of this character is being a light in the darkness, something I expressed thematically through the usage of citrine, a crystal often associated with the sun. Additionally, I made the background sky a muted gray to emphasize the contrast between his bright gemstones and the darkness. I placed him in the place where the sun was. For this piece, I used the perspective warp tool for the first time in order to achieve the tilted shape of the swirling aura, and resized the flying citrine to add to the perspective effect. Finally, I also worked on my recoloring skills\u2013the sky and aura had been altered radically from their original source images. I had a lot of fun with this assignment, it was so cool to make art of my characters in a new way! I definitely plan to try out this style more in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/freestyleacademy.rocks\/~LoganN\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/Nilotruong_Logan-PS-Surreal-Screenshot-1024x576.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-451\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>ENHANCED WORLD-BUILDING PRESENTATION VIDEO:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our second major English assignment of this unit was a group worldbuilding project. In a group of four, we came up with the idea of a dystopian future where humanity has branched off into two colonies developing on separate planets. They enter an interplanetary war over resources, among other, more discreet reasons.
