Intro

During my two years at Freestyle, I’ve had the opportunity to create many projects using skills that I’ve bene taught in all three classes. Although I’m always proud of each project I make here are a couple of my favorites that I created during my time at Freestyle.

Documentary

One of the last projects we completed in Design during my junior year was the Documentary project. This proved to be the most my most difficult, but also my favorite project from my first year at Freestyle. Being from the Bay Area, I had always had pride in the culture I’m surrounded by, whether it’s the music, food, entertainment, and more. For my documentary I chose to focus on Hip-Hop music in the bay and pay homage to its roots. This required me to do lots of research about the history of Hip-Hop in the bay and interview musicians from the area. After gathering all the information and pictures I needed, I proceeded to make my magazine in Adobe Illustrator and InDesign. The result is seen down below.

Multi-Layer Art

One of my favorite projects from Freestyle was my Multi-Layer Art Project, which was a four part project that consisted of sketches, Illustrator design, 3D video design, and IRL assembly. This project was one of my favorites because the product I came out with had lots of meaning, so being able to see it In multiple forms of art was significant to me.
