About Me

Me!

I am Maarten Bousse., a 17-year-old Belgian-American student at Los Altos High and Freestyle Academy. I chose to go to Freestyle because I have a passion for the arts, whether it be designing flags or writing and producing song parodies. I love to do it all.

One of my core values in life is family. As the old saying goes, “blood is thicker than water,” which I take to mean that you should prioritize familial relations in general. Another core value is fun because I believe that a life that is unfun is not a life worth living, so I strive to have as much fun as possible.

Outside school, I love to game, design flags, bake, and many other things. Also, my family loves to spend time with each other doing things like cooking and hiking. Overall, I have a lot of hobbies I am passionate about.

My expectations about being a Freestyle student are that I will learn a lot of good skills that will help me build a career in the arts in the future. I definitely see significant growth in my technical knowledge and my artistic prowess.

What I value about being a student at Freestyle is, among other things, the community of a smaller school and also the niche and specific curriculum of this academy. I also value the experience of using professional-grade equipment and techniques.
