The purpose of the Zenith project is to manifest all skills that you have attained as a Freestyle student. This project is entirely self-designed, allowing us to create our own production schedule and rubric. For my project, I decided to create an observational documentary on a local drag queen who works in the San Francisco County sheriff’s department during the day. I chose this project because it catered to my personal interest in drag culture as well as challenging me to learn a new style of documentary and new filming equipment.<\/p>\n
The process included pre-production aspects such as preparing a shooting schedule and creating several various interview questions to add to the development of a documentary story. These interviews were followed by extensive writing of transcripts to aid in the creation of a narrative.<\/p>\n
