About Me

Former martial artist, animator, singer in acapella, 2D and 3D artist. I’ve been doing 3D art as a hobby for around 7 years, I typically enjoy making set pieces and posters from various movies or games. I was always interested in animation since I was a kid, I used to stay up at night watching cartoons until I passed out. I’ve also had an interest in drawing, I would spend hours doodling in my notebooks, the side of my hand would be covered in pencil lead. After a 2 year hiatus from choir I decided to give it another try, I play bass in acapella!

My values in life are to live life without worry and to be kind with others. Life is like an anvil pinning you to the ground, so I tend to look back in stressful situations and see what I can do to lift up that anvil. Secondly, everybody deserves to be equal to each other, no matter race, gender, nationality, or religion. Nobody should judge others for being different, and I hope as a species we can strive for that goal!

As a Freestyle student, I just don’t want to turn out work for a grade. I want to make art that is fulfilling to me. I want to create things that bring joy to others, I basically want to entertain people with the things I make. It’s always been my motto. Freestyle is also a good school to learn how to use editing software, which is vital for filmmaking or various types of jobs. Not only do I think Freestyle is useful for careers, I joined Freestyle to grow as an artist. Using my skills in a new and engaging way is a no-brainer, I see myself expanding my skills and making art that I never thought I could make.

Some things I value about Freestyle is that it isn’t the status quo like most schools are. There’s no tests you need to study, you learn new skills instead of regurgitating information, there’s no due dates, etc. I could rave about how Freestyle is a good opportunity for high school students, it’s truly one of its kind. But one thing I value most about Freestyle is the equipment at your disposal. You can use any of their equipment, I wouldn’t think most schools would allow students to use their equipment so I’m appreciative of it.
