Podcast

Introduction

My podcast was a conversation with my mother about one of my favorite past-times. My hobby of eating food, not entirely original, or all that much of a hobby, but I felt that we should talk about the proper ways to go about preparing for a meal in addition to some of our favorite stories.

Podcaster Bio
I attend Mountain View High School, and I’m an Eagle Scout. I plan to study biology at San Jose State, and try and help people if I can get through medical school. I like video editing, gaming, and most importantly, cooking and the consumption of food. Food is very important to me, and proper etiquette, both at the table, and especially when cooking and serving.

Introduction
We did this podcast project to express ourselves. We got to pick our own subject matter, and could try and take the podcast in whatever way we chose. Our goals were to produce a piece that was entertaining, either full of knowledge, or humorous. This skills allowed us to practice with a widely accessible communication medium, that if used properly can be very powerful for telling a story.

I was inspired by things such as SCP and cooking podcasts, although it’s clear that I wanted to go in a lighter direction. And have the chance to talk about my own experiences and stories.

Reflection
What did you value from the Podcast Project? (Discuss how you responded to challenges, any new risks you took, how you grew, what you’ll take away from your experience, and any tips you’d give first-time podcasters.) I valued the time we spent planning out the production of the podcast and scripting what we would say. Although, I was happy that I was free to improvise, and talk as much as I wanted and edit something together that had exclusively more interesting portions. If you wanted to make your own podcast, I don’t think it’d be very hard, you wouldn’t necessarily need the best audio either, just something to cut things together. I can appreciate how widespread podcasts can be and how accessible it is for someone with beginner skills.
