Introduction

Welcome to my Project Information Page!

On this webpage, you can view snapshots and travel to several sites, full of specialized content created by me, Max Weber, during my time at Freestyle Academy. With unlimited access to Adobe products, I am able to express myself and experiment with unfamiliar art forms as well as produce many other high quality digital projects. Explore my several project pages which range from Documentaries to Fictional Narratives.

Self-Portrait
This website shows off my Self-Portrait Project, a unit entirely devoted to showing off who I am. The goal of this project was to put myself on display. I wanted to show things about myself that you wouldn’t normally see on the outside. On this webpage, you will find several instances of metaphors that describe who I am. This was one of the earliest projects I was assigned at Freestyle. This marks the beginning of my story at the Academy and shows how my skills with Adobe photoshop and Illustrator started off. It’s safe to say I learned a lot from this unit. Some things I learned about myself by putting myself under a microscope and looking for things inside myself that I had never noticed before. But mostly, I learned new ways to use Adobe Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Illustrator and much more. With these products, I could finally express myself through art.

Narrative 1
This website puts my Narrative Project on display. I was given the task of creating a story. That task might not sound so bad, I mean, anybody can make a story right? Sure, but at Freestyle, my other classmates and I struggled for weeks to create a graphic novel with no words. We had to express a story, emotion, and a message through detail alone. This was an unforeseen twist, which I must admit, changed the way I look at story writing (something I almost do daily after this project). For this project, I explored the application Toon Boom, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, as well as the basic mediums of pen and paper.

Documentary
The Documentary Project, the most difficult project I have yet to experience as a student, is exhibited through this website. I was told to choose a person of interest, write an argumentative paper, and create a book. It is safe to say that I learned most from this unit at Freestyle. I was taught about leading a documentary for myself. I had to learn how to roll with the punches when things, inevitably, didn’t turn out as I planned. I had to quickly learn how to communicate effectively with multiple people and organize interviews, meetings, and photoshoots. Most of all, I learned responsibility, efficiency, and the skill of managing my own time.

Conceptual
In this unit at Freestyle Academy, I was allowed to produce whatever I wanted. I was allowed to express myself in any medium I wanted. Poetry, fine arts, digital media, you name it. This website houses some of my best material from my time at Freestyle. During this unit, I learned how to truly pull out random ideas and turn them into something beautiful. I stretched out the boring and made it weird, dark, or interesting.

Profile
In the Profile Unit at Freestyle Academy, my project was to write an article on a person of interest to me. That person turned out to be Diance Costello. Diane is a professional dog photographer and owner of Fog Dog Studios in Half Moon Bay, California. In this website, you'll find my written, and personally designed, magazine article along with a commercial promoting Diane Costello and Fog Dog Studios. This website will display all the work I have completed over the Profile Unit.

Narrative 2
In the Narrative 2 Unit here at Freestyle Academy, I was required to create another story. This project was much like the original "Narrative" Project, but very different in a simple way. In this project, we needed to use story-relevant dialogue to enhance the tale. Click on the image above to navigate to my Narrative 2 Website.

InnovatOR
The Innovator Project was the first of its kind at Freestyle Academy. My Senior classmates were the guinea pigs to test out a completely new project. For the Innovator Project, we could do anything. We had to stretch our boundaries, minds, and creative ability. With this project, we had free reign over what we would spend the next few months working on. I chose to work with a friend, Karna Chelluri.

For our project, Karna and I decided to research the essence of mockumentaries and produce one of our own based on a fictional character that we would create. This project was meant to expand our knowledge and skill in the areas of film and satire.

Portfolio
This Portfolio website was created for the purpose of displaying two of my best works of graphic design that I have worked on here at Freestyle Academy. Inside this website, there are two pieces from previous units which I will be presenting to a board of panelists who will evaluate my work. The two works I have in mind are "Wings" from my conceptual Unit, and "Falling Sideways" from the Surrealism Unit.
