They are ripping along the line of the sole, and are a size too big. I loved them through freshman year, but once my socks started peeking through, I retired them to the water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Converse, I&#8217;ve found, are perfect shoes for windsurfing because they have a perfectly flat and thin bottom, allowing me to maintain my balance even through the shoe (I used to go in running\/tennis shoes which I&#8217;ve found to be much more difficult due to the sloped sole). They also protect your ankles in case the sail comes swinging around like a scooter. These shoes were old before I started taking them into the water.
