I&#8217;m Maya, and I was an animation student at Freestyle Academy. I like pigeons and pirates, and I enjoy almost anything to do with art. I especially love animated shows, and I hope to create my own someday using the skills I&#8217;ve learned at Freestyle. I want to be able to express myself through animation and illustration, and I hope the ideas expressed in my work bring enjoyment to others. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I met some of my closest friends at Freestyle, and because of the unusual circumstances during both years I was here, I feel like I learned a lot about how to work through the unexpected stuff that life throws at you sometimes. I think the biggest lesson I learned was that I can rely on my peers if I ever need help with anything, whether it&#8217;s projects or just wanting to be social. Freestyle has a very supportive community, and it helped me to become more open to collaboration and have a bit more confidence in myself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons aligncenter
