Symmetry Landscape

Close up of an agave cactus. Pure green color with radial symmetry. Small brown redwood leaves stuck in center.

This photo falls into the category of composition because of it’s symmetry. There are many different types of symmetry such as horizontal symmetry which is often used when taking photos that have a large body of water for a reflection. Vertical symmetry which is when it’s mirrored on the right and left sides. Along with radial symmetry which is what this photo has. Radial symmetry is when the whole subject is radial symmetrical from a center point which in this case is the center of the plant. My family loves to garden and have plants but in our backyard we have a lot of big redwood tree that take up all of the nutrients not allowing many plants to grow in the ground. So instead we have lots of unique and different plants growing in pots all over out house, like this one.
