We studied different types of humor and created our own pieces to try making others laugh while saying something meaningful.

We did this to understand how humor can be a powerful tool for communication, not just entertainment.

What I valued most was the freedom to be creative and take risks. It taught me that humor isn’t just about being funny, it’s about being honest, trying new things, and not being afraid to fail.

Humor Proposal

I analyzed Quenlin Blackwell and Alex Consani, two TikTok creators known for their chaotic, unfiltered sense of humor. Quenlin’s comedy often comes from her extreme reactions and over-the-top facial expressions, while Alex mixes absurdity with deadpan delivery, playing with internet trends and identity in a really smart, satirical way.

What was most useful about studying them was realizing how much of their humor relies on timing, confidence, and commitment to a bit, even if it makes no sense. They both embrace weirdness and don’t explain the joke, which actually makes it funnier.

For my project, Lucy and I created a fake Italian AI version of our Freestyle teachers, combining exaggerated stereotypes, glitchy filters, and strange logic to mirror the style of chaotic internet humor. It was a mix of parody and nonsense that, hopefully, still made people laugh.

Final Product

The Humor Project was about learning how comedy works and using it to tell stories that connect with people.
