I started out by taking a photo of my subject in a very foggy rainforest-type location with an ominous background. After I had the photo I edited it in Photoshop and used overlays to add the effect you can see everywhere other than the subject. After applying the effect I didn&#8217;t like how it made the subject look so I added a mask and used the brush tool to almost remove the effect from one part of the picture and keep the rest.
