Intro

Hi y’all! In the humor project, we were tasked with being funny! As in we have to give it our best to purposely make our audience laugh. For me that was woah there. A light hearted project- I don’t think so.

All the same, it was fun to see what each of us came up with this. For my personal humor project, I decided to use a combination of characterized drawings and some silly ideas to depict my friends. Look below to see what I came up with!

Brainstorm Notes:

• Vamp Zimmerman 
  • Is 18 this year. 
  • Fun fact: Has anger issues 
    • In middle school she wore a red shirt with blue a blue animal on it. It was during middle school when she turned her shirt inside out in order to cover up the republican look a like shirt. 
    • As soon as I did so though, I called her over and tolde her it seemed like she was pulling the republican shiticks closer to her heart. 
    • Vamp has many weaknesses– her family, her anger issues, cowardice. But the most debilitating them of all is– it’s terrible absolutely terrible. her addiction It tore her whole family apart. I bet you all didn’t know this. Caffeine. 
    • Her biggest problem was figuring out whether what her sexuality was Nowadays its debating whether or not they’re going to graduate. 
    • Not to say that instead of crippling depression they’re suffereing from withdrawl syntoms. To coffee.  

• Maylin Salazar 
  • “Salsa”
  • Also lives in San Jose, the things is that she has a more fundamental role to our group.
  • Fun fact:Maylin has a more unusual addiction, it linked to curing her lonely heart. She seeks to  
  • Sometimes she goes on ramages of grief where she only cries until she looks like a maniac 
  • Other times shes basically a teenage mom
    • She washes the dishes, watches the toddler, plays and drives the toddler to noon care 
    • Why is that? 
      • the  American living wage? Only 7. Nationally, just enough to starve 
    • Don’t worry, it’s not even her kid
    • Of course she is very conservative. She is always scandalized by the amount of sugar Vamp drinks
• Kelly Lam 
  • Is an awkward gangly teenager 
    • Is very awkward 
    • Is very clumsy
      • Wears glasses but likes to bump into walls
  • Likes to talk about satanic rituals 
  • Has a passion for bad youtube videos of nerds trying to edit/. Talk about the world apocalypse. 
  • (there isn’t much to make fun of, what perfect cutie lol)

• Marilyn Hernandez
  • Is the meaner version of Miranda 
  • Is very lazy 
    • To walk, to shop, to look for her hw
  • Likes to eat a lot 
  • Wakes up at midnight to eat and leaves food for the cockroaches 
    • Is scared of cockroaches but leaves food
      • Cries when she can’t hear more because she’s full
  • Is a young teenage rebel who is redefining the meaning of struggle. Has the personality of a TikTok.
  • Is an anti-romantic but likes reading romance
  • Is the taller younger sister 
  • Has every hairstylist ever ask what she did to her hair 
    • Very rough cutting 
    • Tells her sister to fix her hair after damaging it 
      • Steals her hair products
  • Uses the Terminator to scare little children she doesn’t like

Reflection

Honestly, after getting rid of my anxiety about starting this project and actually being funny, this project was so much fun! I was struck by fear of being taken as rude since my humor is about sarcastic and deadpan sometimes– it is hard to tell if I’m being rude or not. (FYI I am not being rude.)

Overthinking it was the hard part. Recording a bit of a drag. Finishing? Absolutely worth it! Best of luck to my future, it doesn’t seem as bright as this sun for a career as a comedian.
