ZENITH

Zenith is basically the project where you get to do wherever your passions lead you. I chose to go with Advertisisng and marketing, I created an Advertisement using new filming techniques that I haven’t done before. I also made a marketing campaign and generated my own clothing brand. For my Zenith I got to improve upon my graphic design, film making, and animation. My zenith took every creative side of me and improved upon it. I started by making a brand of t -shirts called happy hours. “Happy Hours” included 4 different logos and designs that I incorporated in my commercial through live action animation. I incorporated all passions to make one advertisement. I think I still have a lot to learn but I’m happy I was able to start somewhere.

1. Let’s start with the brand

I got my inspiration for this design because sea otters are my favorite animals and I wanted to make the letters look like they were floating away with the water.

For this design it was plain and simple I just wanted to do mountains with a black and white theme but making the letters ice colored.

I love photos and memorabilia of VW buses in nature and I wanted to make a design that emulates it. I started with the bus and then added the trees, mountains, and then the brand.

This was my first design where I traced off the movie brother bear because I thought the bear in that movie was comforting and cute compared to other scary depictions of bears.

2. Then the pre-production

I created a shot list based off of the dollar shave club commercial I watched before where it’s basically one shot with a lot of action going on.

Time to sell

I learned a lot about myself and my talents during my zenith production. I think the toughest challenge was creating the designs especially as a film student I was not familiar with how to use illustrator to make logo’s so I had to learn on my own. The designs took days and weeks to finish and I changed my idea’s many times but I learned brand development. I became interested in the marketing aspect of the project like how to reach my target audience. I also learned more about after affects and how to animate my designs.
