Even though my mom doesn&#8217;t usually celebrate birthdays, we decided to surprise her with a cake on January 6th. I was sneaking around writing the the text on top of the cake in my dark closet trying not to get caught, while my sister distracted her by pretending I was in the bathroom. It was very funny and a little chaotic but completely worth it. That moment reminded me that new beginnings don&#8217;t have to be anything big or special.
