Introduction to Exploration:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Exploration is an amazing experience where we get to choose a subject that we’re interested in learning and teach others about it and master it. We also get to relate it to our elective class. For example, people in the film will choose a topic that is related to film. We get to be creative and take control because it’s a self-directed project. We plan and organized based on our own projects. It takes high productivity to be able to communicate our projects and show visual productivity. Through the project, we work on our visual and technological literacy, the ability to understand the 21st-century media. Also, we learn how the technology works and how to use it to achieve the goals of what we creating. We get to be responsible while having to be able to take risks in our project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My Explorations project:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

For my explorations project, I choose to focus on technical literacy and creativity. I choose the topic of Stop Motion. I learned new skills in editing and also built on my camera skills. I also got to be creative in what to film and to create my characters for my stop motion. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

My Process: <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I started my process with creating clay characters for my film. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Then I set up a backdrop using a roll of paper I have and leaned it against a bag of toilette paper.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

On the sides of the paper I used batteries as weights to make sure the paper didn’t fly away. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
After I set up my camera level to the characters I created and made sure everything was in focus. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

From there I started to move my characters and take individual pictures every time I each character moved. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

After this, I put my images in Premiere Pro and set them for a short duration of time so when they are played back they looked like one cohesive motion. After this I added sound effects to enhance the characters and make them come to life more. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

My Stop Motion Final Production: <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

My Stop Motion project was inspired by Clay-Mation. Which is stop motion using Clay characters and pieces. I choose two clay characters that are supposed to be blobs. They each make different noises. It supposed to be about one character who is happy and loves hugs and one character who is normally mad but when he gets offered a hug becomes happy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
