What is a Zenith?
The purpose of the Zenith Project is to ignite our passion, creativity and perform the skills we’ve learned in Freestyle. The
My Zenith Project is to create 3D animation that looks like it is 2D animation. With that kind of style, I will create 3 short segments of slapstick comedy using Maya Animation. I always thought that this kind of visual style is really cool and that I would love to try it one day. I was also always fascinated with slapstick comedy in animation, and how much skills and thoughts have been into it, with planning the speed and timing.
This Zenith project is a new challenge for me because it’s learning a new kind of texture, and to learn some comedic techniques. I will need to put a lot of effort into the timing to make the animation funny.
From my animation Class, I will use the techniques I learned from the last quarter, like modeling and animating in Maya, but also I will use the animation principals we learned last year.
Practicing
Before I started to work on my film, I had to learn the new textures. After I learned it, I did some facial expressions with the character.

The finished project
After months of work and planning, I finally finished my Zenith project. it was a pretty hard one to plan, but overall I am happy with what came out, especially because I tried to do something different. Enjoy.
