Advantage Homes, like many other ADU companies in the Bay Area, receives government contracts to build shelters en masse for those in need. Todd mentioned that his company \u201cuse[s] modular hotels, modular apartments [\u2026which is] a quicker way to build in a controlled environment\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Company Website: <a href=\"https:\/\/advantagehomes.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/advantagehomes.com\/<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Stanley Acton<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bpcmag.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/IMG_0347-web-1-e1531755958945.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Stanley Acton is the founder of Acton ADU. Originally planning to have a career in high tech, he studied for it in college. Stanley took a carpentry class in college, and fell in love with the craft. According to Stanley, \u201cAfter four years, I [talked] to my dad [and] said, \u201cYou know, sometimes I just wish I could go back and be a carpenter.\u201d And he said, \u201cYou know, I&#8217;ve got an idea, Stan, why don&#8217;t you go back and be a carpenter?\u201d I said, \u201cDad, that&#8217;s a great idea.\u201d I quit high tech and I went back to be a carpenter, and then after about a year my boss ran out of work. And so I went out on my own.
