*Introduction*

Hello and welcome to my project information page! I'm Paige, a 2nd year freestyle senior who is (very clearly) in WebAudio. In WebAudio, we work through a variety of programs, creating websites and the types of things that usually go on them including audio, basic visuals, slideshows, animations, and web books. This year, we have edited our project information pages; you can check out the old one that I made in the beginning of junior year under the "Old PIP" button. Otherwise, the projects go in order, starting from the 2nd website I ever made: my Self-Portrait site. feel free to explore the rest of this tuff while you're here though, it's pretty cool to see how my work and understanding of the programs we use here have enhanced over the last 2 years.

*Self-Portrait*

This is my 2nd project here at freestyle, the self-portrait. This was mostly meant to be an introduction about yourself to the world and the freestyle community, so it doesn't look amazing or anything. We included information about ourselves, our families, and our friends while learning how to use dreamweaver and compile a relatively competant website. My self portrait site is kind of a hot mess in all honesty, but it was a good learning process and a solid first try to a real website so whatever, feel free to check it out and judge my awful web coding skills.

*Narrative 1*

For the narrative unit, we were supposed to write a story in english, then move that story into design and create both a character portrait and an illustrative piece showing a scene from our projects. Ok real talk, this whole unit was a hot mess for me and I was dealing with a lot of personal issues at the time so a lot of my work ended up substandard and overall pretty unfinished. Yeah... it's not cute. I have a lot of regrets about the way I went about this project and I'm incredibly unsatisfied with it overall. You can check it out if you want but I want to warn you how bad it is first. (It's so bad)

*Documentary*

The Documentary project was meant to be one in which we learned the stories of a community buisness or organization and told them as a short, 2-3 chapter book. We then took these books into design class, using Adobe InDesign to layout the text and visuals in an appealing manner following the principles of design we learned throughout the year. We then took these into Web where we created websites and audio slideshows to show off all the stuff we had done. Unfortunately, this project was also kind of a hot mess for me, albeit less so than the narrative unit. I'll probably go back and change some stuff at some point this year so maybe don't look at this one until I do that?

*Conceptual*

The conceptual website was essentially a "we're gonna let you loose with all the things we've taught you now" which was pretty awesome. For English, we produced poetry and a web book (which were kept personal), for design we mixed traditional/"real" mediums like paint, graphite, charcoal, wax, etc. and digital mediums such as photography, digital painting, etc. to create conceptual illustrations. In web, we created animated poems, video haikus, and music pieces along with websites we in a fashion we hadn't yet done with 1 long page instead of multiple separate pages with different buttons. This unit was pretty fun, I had a good time creating the background and layover at the top of the page. If you couldn't tell I like astrology stuff so that's... cool...
