Hi! My name is Radhika Gupta & this is my Self Portrait Website. Our year at Freestyle is split up into four units, the Self Portrait, the Narrative, the Documentary, and the Conceptual Unit. Our first unit this year was the self portrait unit. During this unit we were asked to answer the question “Who Am I?”. We were encouraged to express ourselves through several different art forms. This included poetry, a media piece, an illustration and much more! I used a lot of different programs to make this website. I used Dreamweaver to make the actual website. We learned a lot of about html and coding. I used photoshop to make my buttons and then used a "double image sprite" in Dreamweaver to make them change when hovered upon. Finally, I used Garageband to make/record all of my audio! I tend to like very clean and simple lines so I tried to keep my website very minimalist. I used sunflowers for my buttons because they’re one of my favorite flowers. My music is very mellow and acoustic sounding and I feel this represents me well because I’m a relatively calm and easygoing person.

It's Not Conceited To Love Yourself

As part of our self portrait unit, we were asked to write a poem in English. This poem was based off of our personal statement, a statement we chose from our own list of “10 Things I’ve Learned In My Life” (can be viewed on the podcast page). We then were supposed to write a poem that used a lot of vivid imagery. There is audio of me reading the poem below, please enjoy!
