For the Junior Documentary Project, we were prompted to highlight people, places, ideas, or issues by gathering primary and secondary sources to display the significance of our perspective to the community. This unit highlights narrative style journalism which was presented throughout different projects. These projects include our English class essay, a documentary film, and a magazine article in digital media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My documentary project was a documentary film. We started off by studying the basics of documentary films. This included watching documentaries, learning to interview, and learning to reach out to people for interviews. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since we were just learning the process of a documentary film, we practiced our newly learned abilities by first creating a mockumentary. This assignment included you and a few other students to create a fake documentary about something related to freestyle. This project helped develop our filming skills, interviewing skills, and overall setup skills. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
