I was not quite sure how to do this &#8211; partly because I&#8217;m used to working with light. Light draws attention, and I was unsure how to make the shadows draw attention instead. I found this plastic curtain at a restaurant and thought it was perfect for this! It makes the figures behind it look a little blurry and dark, like shadows. It reminds me of Spirited Away when Chihiro is lost in the beginning, and there are all of these restaurants with shadows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As for the story this tells, I like to imagine the two girls facing away from each other have some sort of connection &#8211; used to be friends, or will become friends in the future? They seem so preoccupied with the people at their table, but they&#8217;re close to each other too.
