My name is Sebastian Marulanda and throughout my journey of high school, being an individual has often been difficult and unrewarding. Expressing myself using the tools provided at high school is challanging and so to further explore my expression in different mediums I entered Freestyle. Throughout this program I have been able to more fully communicate my ideas and follow my passions as an artist, a writer, a designer, and more importantly a student.

This website can be used as a portal to any project I have created throughout my time at Freestyle. At Freestyle I am taking three classes: Digital Media, Design, and English. Within these classes I have learned to use multiple programs and have been able to express my ideas using different means of technology and art. For example, I have had the extraordinary pleasure of using Photoshop, Pro Tools, Illustrator, DreamWeaver, After Effects, Reason 9, Premiere Pro, InDesign, and Adobe Animate.

CONCEPTUAL

In the Conceptual Project we were given vast amounts of liberty to express ourselves on whatever topic we choose. The purpose of this is enhance our communcation skills and expand on the question, "How can I use unconventional forms to express myself?"

NARRATIVE 1

In the Narrative Project I will compose a short story using different tools than ones in the Conceptual Project. I will be creating a short animation based on my narrative. The question we attempt to answer within this project is, "How well can you visually tell a structured story?"

DOCUMENTARY

In the Documentary Project we use our voice to develop a distinct perspective about a subjects significance in the world and our community. Our goal is to answer the question, "How do you creatively and truthfully portray a significant person, group, place, idea, or issue in the community?"

EXPLORATIONS

Similair to the Conceptual Project, we end our junior year honing any 21century skill we have acquired since we began freestyle in the Exploration Project. Our final challange for junior year comes down to the question, "How can you find, explore, and/or expand your passion?"

REFLECTIONS

Starting senior year, the Reflections Project jumps into finding how we identify ourselves and our work in the world we live in. Our last year in highschool starts with one of the biggest questions we've answered yet, "Who am I?"

NARRATIVE 2

As we continue to discover more about ourselves, we also begin exploring and expirementing with dialogue, point of view, and advanced story telling techniques to create a book jacket, trailer, and website. In this unit we take our first narrative project further with the question, "How well can you tell a dialogue-driven story?". (This project will be done around January)

ZENITH

Our freestyle career finally ends how we choose with our Zenith Project. Being our most successful Freestyle project, our Zenith is on our own topic and is formed on our own passions, skills, and experiences. Here we finally answer, "How do you ignite your passion and elevate your skills and expereinces to create your ultimate and most successful Freestyle project?"(This project will be done around April)

Last but not least we have our Portfolio Showcase were we present everything that we've ever accomplished at freestyle at the end of our senior year. We are given the oppertunity to share and celebrate our final products with a panel of friends and proffessionals and answer out last question, "What have you accomplished? How have you grown? How did you grow into the digital artist you are today?"
