Welcome to my page! My name is Sheer Hamam, and I’m a Design student at Freestyle Academy. Outside of school and Freestyle, I’m an active member of my community and participate in a multitude of extracurricular activities. I’ve worked at the Sweet Shop, a local community cafe where I am a trained barista. I love knowing I am making a positive impact on people around me, and currently, I’m in two clubs at Mountain View High School that help showcase that: National Honors Society and Spartan Buddies.
For my showcase project, I wanted to feature a project that I was proud of, and that represented my time at Freestyle. Because of its interdisciplinary nature, many of my Freestyle projects have overlapping elements from my three classes: English, Digital Media, and Design. Ultimately, I decided on my Zenith project because it was based on skills I have acquired in both English and Design, and I’m proud of how it turned out.

In this video, I broke down the process of creating and designing my cookbook.
Reel
My reel features a variety of projects from my junior and senior years at Freestyle. I chose projects that demonstrated a range of my work. The works in this video were made using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, and the video was produced in After Effects.
In the past two years, I’ve grown so much as an artist and creator. Freestyle has offered me the creative freedom to explore a wide variety of artistic pursuits, and I’m so grateful for every experience. Next year, I will be attending the University of Colorado Boulder and majoring in Psychology. At Boulder, I hope to further my education and continue to grow artistically and academically through the field of expressive art therapy. My time at Freestyle has provided me with an incredible foundational skillset, and I feel very prepared and lucky to begin this next chapter of my life.
